Camping La Torre del Sol/ Mont Roig del Camp

Costa Dorada
The Costa Dorada thanks its name to the beautiful golden
beaches which can be found along the 250 km long beach, which runs from the
south of the Costa Brava up to the delta of the Ebro River. Along the entire
coast line you will find many small and pleasant fishing villages as well as
big cities like Barcelona and Tarragona. The Costa Dorada is special in its
variety. From the town of Peniscola, located on a peninsula of rock in the sea,
you can take a boat trip on the streams flowing towards the Ebro and take a look
at the Spanish delta works. The Costa’s inland has a rich environment where you
can take magnificently beautiful walks. For large parts of the season there are
beautiful flowers and plants to be seen.
Here you find lots of culture and
amazing architecture as well. A famous example is the fantastic monastery of
Montserrat.
Near Salou there is the mind blowing amusement park Port
Aventura. This park has one of the biggest rollercoasters in all of Europe. The
park has multiple themes to which all the rides and café’s and
restaurants have been modelled.
Mont-roig del Camp is located at the heart
of the Costa Dorada. Its 13 km of wide, sandy beaches and attractive coves,
between the torrent of Riudecanyes and El Llastres, in the coastal area of
Miami Platja, make it a true paradise.
The festive nature of the local people invites you to
participate in the many "fiestas"celebrated throughout the year. In Mont-Roig
you have the annual Fair (first Saturday in August), and the many festivals.
The luminosity, diversity, and colours of this land captivated and insparated
this world-renowned Catalan and adoptive son of Mont-roig. Miró himself
said, "All my work is conceived in Mont-roig".
This region
guarantees plenty of sunny holiday fun and enjoyment for
everyone.
